regret I don’t have music gadget with me

I’ve been staying here in Kish, Iran for more almost two weeks now. It’s indeed boring as wifey isn’t with me. But, I have to endure this loneliness by enjoying myself with the company of other people. Don’t get me wrong I’m only with guys here because ladies and men aren’t allowed to be together when not married. Sometimes, the guys also aren’t in the mood to hang out, which makes life here even more boring.

I actually regret not bringing any gadgets with me. I intentionally left my laptop at home as well as any music device 8g ipod nano or mp3 player, thinking that I will return immediately. Unfortunately, days have passed and problems arise. It’s really better to have those devices around because it can indeed entertain me in some ways especially when the guys aren’t in the mood hanging out with me. But, it’s too late now so I will not make the same mistake again in the future.

yoyo for my nephew

My nephews are growing really quick. I used to remember them as babies and now while looking at my sister’s photos I’m quite amaze of how big they became. Time indeed fly so fast, it was just yesterday when I carry them and change their diapers. But, now they are both playing yoyo toys, which I also played during my younger years.

I’m not sure if I can still play it now. My fingers are no longer slim like before and my reflexes aren’t that good as well. Growing old isn’t always advantageous, right? Anyway, since I already know they can now play yoyo might as well give them both. I’m thinking what to give them as present not for any occasion, but as present from uncle. They used to ask me whenever I drop by, but I always bring food that time because I’m not sure what to give. Yoyo is a nice idea and I will use it the next time I will visit.

Last December 17, one of my cousins arrived and stayed in my aunt’s house. Just like me he also holds a tourist visa with the intention of finding a job. The only difference is that his visa is valid for three months while mine before is only valid for two months. So, he has three months to find a job, but for sure time passes easily.

I remember I spend at least four months before one company gave me a job offer. That’s why all of us feel like helping him get a job before his tourist visa expires. Luckily, brother said there is baggage porter jobs available in the airport his working with. It’s already a great opportunity to begin with. But, we still need to wait for brother’s arrival because he is in a four day straight 12 hour shift. Then, we will find out what will happen and the next step my cousin needs to do. I hope him all the best in his endeavor.

experiencing zero visibility, excites and frightened me

I’m both surprised and amazed when I wake up this morning seeing a thick fog outside. It’s indeed the first time I’m experiencing zero visibility, which both excites me and frightened me. I’m excited because at last I will have firsthand experience. We don’t have this kind of weather in our home country. But, I’m also scared because I will be going to work with that thick fog on my way. It is dangerous to drive in foggy condition especially on zero visibility.

Anyway, I was able to get on and off the bus safe and sound. But, I feel a little cold while in transit and a little wet as well. I should have listened to wifey and gear myself up. Ever since wifey’s sister discover youtube, there isn’t a time she misses a night without watching videos. She is a great fan, in fact she can stay late at night just watching whatever videos she can find. The reason she is always reprimanded by mother-in-law. But, she never listens and continues the habit.

For now she is asking wifey if youtube video download is possible. She is going to start working soon so her time to surf the web is lesser as compared to her college years. The reason she is looking for a way to make her youtube watching faster and better. Gladly, I found a site that allows her to download youtube faster as compared to the traditional youtube online streaming. Well, I hope that she finds it satisfactory. I haven’t tried it since I’m not a great fan of youtube.

winter is really nearing

I can feel its getting cold outside, even brother can attest to that. He said winter is really nearing, though this will be the first for him. Well, this will be the first for the three of us – me, wifey and brother. So, it’s quite exciting to experience such. Sadly, we won’t be having snowfall, which is what I’m after. The temperature will just drop to 3°C (37 °F). Of course, there will be no snow to form in that temperature.

Anyway, I’m just curious whether my friends in New York, London, and New Zealand are preparing themselves for the really cold months. I’m sure they can benefit a lot from having tire chains for trucks because it makes driving safer. Thinking about that makes me want to try driving in the snowy mountains, though I’m not sure if I can handle it even if I have tire chains installed. But, I’m sure it would be a good experience.

easily lost her way

Too bad, wifey is pretty awful with geographical locations. I mean she easily find herself lost wherever she may be. Good thing she can still pull herself and get back on track. really a big adjustment

It’s been two months since I first set foot on this land though it’s really a big adjustment. Of course, there’s little choice, but to adjust in order to survive this kind of lifestyle. Even so I miss the way of living in my home country where I get to enjoy my garden every so often. That is impossible to have here because we are living in a building.

Well, I’ll just have to live with it until I save up enough money to buy a new house in my country, then I could go back for good. I already envision my house has a garden, a nice mailbox, though most people no longer use it, an elegant address plaques, a great outdoor furniture and so on. It’s a bit dreamy, but I’ll try to make it a reality that’s why I’m here to work really hard.
