For centuries, diamonds have been part of marriage. And for that long, scientists and researchers have searched for less expensive ways to create or grow diamonds and other gemstones substitute. With our technology nowadays this is not impossible.
Synthetic diamonds are diamond stimulants that consisting of a different chemical composition, but have the similar characteristic to mine diamonds. Manufacturing method of these diamonds may vary. And the method use will classify the different man-made diamond types. One method use is by replicating the conditions of nature uses that is high pressure, high temperature (HPHT) in which subjects the seed ingredients to temperatures of over 1,000 degrees Celsius, and to pressures of over 50,000 atmospheres.
The other method used is the chemical vapor deposition or CVD. In this process it uses a seed ingredient, too, but instead of using high heat and pressure, creates a chemical reaction. The reaction forms a “carbon” vapor which then deposits the diamond onto the seed, often atom by atom.
However, despite this fact there are still people who want to use certified diamonds because of many reasons. Natural diamonds are rare and expensive. It takes years for nature to make one single diamond. That is the reason it has become the symbol of eternal love.
