Recently Silverstone has introduced its newest addition to the company’s HTPC-ready CPU cooling offer, the NT07-775 cooling solution. The product resembles a lot Intel’s popular LGA 775 stock coolers, yet it comes with a range of changes and improvements. The NT07-775 cooler is advertised as a low-profile capable solution that measures 93 mm x 36.5 mm x 93 mm (W, H, D). This weighs no more than 310 grams and includes a copper-embedded central contact base and an aluminum heatsink coupled with a 90mm fan able to work at speeds ranging from 1200 up to 1800 RPM. The noise generated by the fan stays in the 15 and 23 dBA area. This resembles the series, yet comes with a different design methodology.
As Silverstone stated, its fresh HTPC-ready CPU cooling addition has been designed especially for the 45nm dual-core processors. The architecture of this solution is different from a stock cooler in that the NT07-775 has the aluminum fins projected in a spiral way.
