Set your mind as ease as Sony has finally introduced its highly anticipated netbook, the much rumored 8-inch VAIO P series laptop, dubbed the Lifestyle PC. The new ultraportable VAIO laptop has been designed to offer users a computing alternative that will provide them with Internet access and quick access to multimedia files. The system is expected to become available for purchase with a price tag of $900, considerably higher than what you will need to pay for a traditional netbook system.
Despite its small form factor, the system is capable of providing its users with an impressive screen high resolution of 1600 by 768 pixels, thanks to the LED backlit 8-inch ultra-wide display, which boasts the company’s XBRITE-ECO LCD technology. With a battery life rated at up to four hours, the small VAIO P series incorporates built-in wireless WAN 3GB Mobile Broadband, 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technologies for optimum connectivity options. In addition, the company has also featured this ultraportable system with built-in GPS functionality.
On the inside, this small VAIO laptop still has enough space to integrate an Intel processor, running at a cool 1.33GHz, a maximum of 2GB of DDR2 memory, and a 128GB Solid State Drive makes up for the system’s storage. The graphics and audio have predictably been solved by Intel’s integrated solutions.
